Holland Fisheries Event (HFE), the biennial Dutch Fisheries and Maritime Exhibition, will go ahead this year despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The event will take place at De Koningshof in Urk on 2 and 3 October. HFE is organised on behalf of Stichting Visserijdagen Urk and will take place for the eleventh time this year. With extra pavilions on the exhibition floor there will be room for the anticipated 3,000 visitors and the more than 115 exhibitors including shipyards and suppliers, advisors and organisations in the fishery and maritime sector.
Project manager, Paula van der Woude, said, “The Flynth pavilion has been fully rented out, as well as the popular B and D tent pavilion and the C pavilion where VCU and business relations will present themselves. Despite the uncertain times in this Covid crisis, we see a continuing demand for stand space on the exhibition floor.”
To ensure the safety of exhibitors and visitors, the organisation have submitted a comprehensive plan to the local authorities. The safety measures include more space, one-way traffic and the use of time blocks to limit the number of visitors who will have to register in advance.
