We are recruiting for Technicians to join our Freshwater team based in Argyll to assist with the day-to-day operation at Barcaldine site to ensure we achieve set goals including high standard of fish quality, health and welfare.

Our 17,500m2 hatchery has scope to produce up to 12 million smolts annually, supplying to our 42 marine farms around Scotland’s west coast, Orkney and Shetland. Barcaldine is a state-of-the-art RAS Hatchery which combined with future freshwater developments provide successful candidates a unique opportunity to build skills and experience in commercial scale land-based aquaculture.

We welcome applications from individuals with at least 1 years’ practical experience in fish husbandry or equivalent qualification with a good knowledge of fish welfare and water chemistry. You must have the ability to complete tasks in a professional manner adherent to strict biosecurity, health and safety requirements and practice good house-keeping throughout all activities.
