Providing industry leading personal learning and development paths, our aim is to nurture and encourage our employees to build professional career paths. We are the first in our industry accredited at Platinum standard through Investors in People and our employees are actively supported in ways that encourage and demand strong leadership.

We are looking to recruit a Workshop Assistant/Yardsman to support our Mainland Marine Engineering Team.

Responsible for day-to-day deliveries and outgoing goods, keeping things organized and being on top of an evolving workload, the Workshop Assistant/Yardsman will provide vital support to the Engineering team whilst ensuring health and safety compliance and safe systems of work are in place at all times.

The successful candidate will ensure that the workshop is maintained at all times and stock levels are monitored and controlled. We expect the successful applicant to be highly motivated with a positive ‘hands on’ attitude.  They must also ensure that all tasks are completed in a professional manner adherent to strict health and safety requirements and practice good house keeping throughout all activities.

As well as a generous salary and weekend payments, we offer a structured training plan; career development; 30 days paid holiday; discretionary company bonus; pension scheme; life insurance cover; employee assistance programme; subsidised gym membership, cycle to work scheme.

We are an equal opportunities employer, and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified people; however, you must be able to provide documentation of your right to work in the UK. A current driving licence is essential for this role.
